New titles and the standing shelf

The lobby splits in two, and the split is the operator's, not ours. The releases shelf holds what the studio has shipped in recent months: the mechanics there run to the unusual, because every new title has to justify itself somehow. The standing shelf is what survived — titles proven over thousands of sessions rather than by a launch announcement. Coming in for the first time, start with the second one: a novelty is easier to read when there is something to read it against.

Volatility, and what follows from it

Volatility on each game page describes how wins are distributed, not how much they add up to. Low means frequent small hits and a balance that drains slowly; high means long dead stretches broken by a result worth dozens of stakes at once. The same money lasts roughly three times longer on a low volatility title. On a high one the stake is picked to survive the dead stretch, because the dead stretch is the rule and not the exception.

What the line under each title means

Reels and rows describe the grid. Paylines are fixed patterns a win has to land on; ways to win count every left-to-right combination instead, which is why a game quoting ways never quotes paylines. The wording differs from title to title because the boards themselves differ — one describes a layout with no reels at all, another expands its grid mid-feature.
