Play within your limits

Responsible play

Gambling has a negative expected value by construction. That is not a warning label — it is the arithmetic the whole industry is built on, and it is worth understanding before the first deposit.

Responsible play

Why the house always ends up ahead

Every game on this site pays out less than it takes in, averaged over enough rounds. Individual sessions swing either way — that is what makes it entertaining — but the average does not, and no betting pattern changes it. Systems that promise otherwise are selling the pattern, not the outcome.

Set the limit before you play, not during

Decide the amount you are willing to lose, set it in the cashier as a deposit limit, and treat it as spent the moment you deposit it. A limit chosen mid-session is chosen by the session. Time limits work the same way: the point is to make the decision once, while it is still cheap to make.

The signs worth taking seriously

Chasing a loss with a bigger stake. Playing to fix money problems rather than for entertainment. Hiding how much or how often you play. Borrowing to deposit. Any one of these on its own is worth stopping for; together they are not a phase.

Where to get help

The South African Responsible Gambling Foundation runs a free counselling line on 0800 006 008, staffed around the clock, and it is independent of any operator. Self-exclusion can be requested through the cashier or through support, and once set it cannot be lifted early — that is the point of it. Nobody under 18 may play.
