A real list rather than a generic one: below is what this site actually stores in your browser, and what happens if you clear it.
What is set
A session cookie, which the server needs to recognise the same browser across a form submission and to make the cross-site request check work; it lasts until you close the browser. A language preference, kept for thirty days, so a returning reader is not thrown back to the default. And a theme preference — light or dark — which is not a cookie at all but a value in local storage, stays on your device and is never sent to the server.
What is not set
No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers and no third-party scripts that set their own. What is left is functional: the session that keeps you logged in and the cashier flow. Neither can be switched off without breaking the account — which is why there is no consent banner here: there is nothing optional to consent to.
Clearing them
Every browser can delete them and block new ones, under privacy settings. Nothing on this site breaks if you do: the language falls back to the one in the address, and the theme falls back to what your system asks for.
