Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Springbok Casino collects about you, why we need it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how you can control it. It is written to meet the requirements of South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

It applies when you visit this site, open an account, play or contact support. If we change the policy in a way that affects how your information is used, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect. The date at the bottom shows the current version.

Who We Are And How to Contact Us

The responsible party for your personal information is Quadgreen N.V., 51 Heelsumstraat, E-Commerce Park, Salina, Curaçao, which operates Springbok Casino. Payments are processed on our behalf by Enneagon Ltd, 4-4a Bloomsbury Square, London WC1A 2RP, United Kingdom.

We need personal information to run your account, to meet our legal duties (for example checking your age and preventing fraud and money laundering), and to keep the service working properly.

For any question about this policy or your information, write to support@springbokcasino.top, or use live chat and ask for your message to be passed to our Information Officer.

What Data We Collect

We collect three kinds of information: what you give us when you register, the documents we need to verify you, and information generated while you use the site and play.

Identification Information

When you register and use your account, you give us:

  • identity details: first name, surname, date of birth;
  • contact details: email address, mobile number, country of residence and postal address;
  • account details: your password (stored in encrypted form, never readable by our staff), coupon codes and email preferences;
  • payment details: the payment methods you use, deposit and withdrawal amounts. Full card numbers are handled by the payment provider and are not stored in your casino account;
  • what you tell support: chat and email messages.

Verification Documents

Before paying out, and at other times where the law or our risk checks require it, we ask for a copy of your ID document or passport, a recent proof of address, and proof that a payment method is yours. For large or unusual transactions we may also ask where the money comes from, for example a payslip or bank statement.

Information created while you play

While you use the site we record:

  • your activity: bets, wins, deposits, withdrawals, bonuses, limits you set and log-in times;
  • technical information: IP address, device and browser type, operating system and time zone;
  • signals of risky play: changes in how much and how often you play, and any limits or self-exclusions, so that we can offer help and apply the limits you chose.

We also receive information from others: payment providers confirm transactions, identity verification services check your documents, and game studios report round results. Where the law allows, we check fraud-prevention and self-exclusion registers.

How We Use Your Data

POPIA allows us to process personal information only for a lawful reason (section 11). Ours are:

  • To carry out our agreement with you: opening and running your account, processing payments, providing the games and answering support requests. Without this information we cannot offer you an account.
  • To meet legal obligations: verifying your age and identity, preventing money laundering and fraud, and keeping the records our licence requires.
  • Our legitimate interests: keeping the site secure, detecting bonus abuse, fixing faults, and understanding which pages and games people use so we can improve them. You may object to this processing (section 11(3)), and we will stop unless we have compelling grounds to continue.
  • Your consent: sending bonus offers and news by email or SMS. Direct marketing is sent only if you opted in, and every message has an unsubscribe link (section 69). Withdrawing consent does not affect messages already sent.

We do not sell your personal information. Decisions with a significant effect on you, such as closing an account, are not made by automated means alone. A person reviews them (section 71).

Data Transfer to Third Parties

We share only what each recipient needs for its task:

  1. Payment providers and banks, to process deposits and withdrawals.
  2. Game studios, including Realtime Gaming (RTG), to run your game sessions. They receive an account identifier, not your name or contact details.
  3. Identity verification and fraud-prevention services, to check documents and detect fraud.
  4. Email, SMS and support software providers, to send the messages you asked for and to run live chat.
  5. Regulators, courts and law enforcement, where the law requires it.

Each service provider acts under a written agreement that limits use of the information to our instructions and requires it to keep the information secure (sections 20 and 21).

International Data Transfers

Springbok Casino is operated from Curaçao, and payments are processed through the United Kingdom, so your information is processed outside South Africa. Some of our service providers are in other countries as well.

POPIA (section 72) allows this when the recipient is bound by law, binding rules or a contract that gives your information protection substantially similar to POPIA, or when the transfer is needed to perform our agreement with you. We rely on written contracts with each recipient that set out these protections. You can ask the Information Officer which safeguards apply to a particular transfer.

Data Retention Periods

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as a law or our licence requires (POPIA section 14):

  • account, transaction and verification records: for as long as your account is open, then 5 years after it is closed or after your last transaction;
  • support chats and emails: 3 years;
  • self-exclusion records: for the full exclusion period and at least 5 years after it, so the exclusion can be enforced.

Information needed for an ongoing dispute or investigation is kept until it is resolved. After that, information is deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be linked to you. Anonymised figures may be kept for statistics.

Your Rights Regarding Personal Data

Under POPIA you have the right to:

  • ask whether we hold personal information about you and get a copy of it (section 23);
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong, incomplete or out of date (section 24);
  • ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep (section 24);
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time (section 11(3));
  • not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that significantly affects you (section 71);
  • complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

Send requests to support@springbokcasino.top. We reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that nobody else can obtain your information. Some records cannot be deleted while the law requires us to keep them, and we will tell you when that applies.

Data Security

We protect personal information with technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk (POPIA section 19). Connections to the site are encrypted, passwords are stored in hashed form, and staff can reach only the information their role needs. They are bound by confidentiality obligations.

You can help: choose a password you use nowhere else, log out on shared devices, and only log in at the address you know is ours.

No system is completely secure. If we have reasonable grounds to believe that your personal information has been accessed by someone without authority, we will notify the Information Regulator and you as soon as reasonably possible (section 22), with enough detail for you to protect yourself.

Conclusion

If anything in this policy is unclear, or you want to know exactly what we hold about you, write to our Information Officer at support@springbokcasino.top. We would rather answer a question than leave you guessing.

Keeping your information safe is part of keeping play safe. If you want help with limits or a break from gambling, see our responsible gambling tools or call the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation on 0800 006 008.
